About TGA / FAQ

Welcome to the homepage of the Tournament Golfers Association.

The idea of the TGA is to create social golfing competitions with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere so we can all have some fun, play more golf, meet new playing partners and maybe get a chance to play some courses you wouldnt otherwise play.

The 2011 season has a large number of scheduled events at various courses throughout the North East of England, with a number of ongoing order of merit systems. There are prizes at all games for winners and usual thing like long drive and nearest to the pin, and the 2011 season has also seen the inclusion of singles and pairs matchplay knockout's.

The TGA represents the often forgotten about region of the North East of England, with events in County Durham, Cleveland, North Yorkshire and Tyne & Wear and unlike most other amateur tours or societies, playing with the TGA won't break the bank. All TGA Tour events are played on weekends and bank holidays, and so far the TGA Price code has meant that we keep the cost of each game to under £20 per person.
