TGA Northumberland Open 2011 - Results

The overnight deluge of Rain meant parts of the course had adopted impromptu water hazards but once again the hardy golfers of the TGA donned their waders and hit the course. Every hole had a temporary green, but despite the holes being the size of buckets, it was not the high scoring game everyone first expected. 3 Players finished in a tie at the top with Christian Reed emerging as the winner by way of countback after making 4 points on the final hole. Colin Northmore, another player tied at the top, took home the prize for the low handicap category, and the final member of the Trio, Paul Stokes, took home a Dozen balls as runner up.
Paul Willey took the prize for nearest to the pin on hole 4, while Craig Stevenson won the Longest Drive. Christian Reed capped a winning day with nearest to the pin on hole 15, and Ian Sykes, with an impressive Display, won the 100 Club prize.
Thanks to Newcastle United Golf Club for their help, and also keeping the bar open for the Thirsty TGA Golfers.
