The player rising to the challenge however was 2010 Tour Champion Chris Brown, who carded 7 pars and a birdie en route to victory with a +1 net total. With the Victory becoming the first TGA player with 4 victories to his name and makes a significant move up the 2011 leaderboard in the process.
Paul Jewitt put together a great back nine that included 3 pars and birdie on the par 5 finishing hole to finish 1 back, and Tony Smith with 3 pars and birdie finishing 2 back, was the winner in the 19-27 handicap category. Mark Wilson won longest drive for the second game in a row with a 300+ yard monster, Mally Grief scored his first extra point of the year with nearest to the pin on Hole 6 and Colin Northmore hit the flagstick on 17 and bounced to within a couple of feet for the second nearest to the pin prize.
Greens aside, the day was great, the course was decent, the company outstanding, the sun was shining and hopefully we're all looking forward to Aldwark Manor in 2 weeks time. See you there.
