First of all a big thankyou to everyone who has played a part in the 2011 season so far. We're only 3 games in and already 33 people have played at least one game on the 2011 tour at an average of almost 20 players per game. An astonishing statistic considering some of the outrageous elements we've had to deal with so far this season. It just goes to show what a hardcore bunch of golfers the TGA members really are.
As I type this I have just confirmed the game on Bank Holiday monday 30th May at Hunley Hall in Saltburn. Although we didnt have the best of days when we played there last year I really enjoyed the course and have been looking forward to going back ever since, so I'm delighted to be able to confirm a great deal that falls in line with the TGA's price code. Hunley Hall has been confirmed as a venue for this years Europro tour so if you havent played there before, that gives you some idea of the quality of the course.
The pairs matchplay knockout series is ready to go. 8 pairs, straight knockout, and the draw will be made at Aldwark Manor on Good Friday. There are still 3 places in the singles matchplay so I'm leaving this open a little longer to try and fill it up. In the meantime we can get the pairs competition underway.
Speaking of pairs, the Norton Weekender has just opened for signup, with the Sunday game being the first ever TGA pairs competition. 4BBB Format, with winner's tour points on offer for both members. The Saturday game will be Singles as normal for the Chris Brown Chalice.
Thanks to everyone for their support, and see you on the course soon.
