Sharpley Winter League Event 3 - Results

A Frosty morning greeted the TGA tour at Sharpley, and for a while it looked like everyone would struggle with the tough conditions, and most did, but Jamie Drummond shot the round of the day, which included 2 birdies, to get his first win on the TGA tour, claiming a place in the TGA Open Major and also pulling the Winter League title within his grasp.
Debutant Dave Brown took the first Nearest to the Pin, With Graham Brown taking the second. Another Debutant Ian Manthorp claimed the Longest Drive to go along with the runner's up prize. A promising Debut indeed. And yest another First Timer, Matthew Groves claimed the 100 club win, a prize newly designed for our Higher Hanidcap members.

A Record turnout of 24 braved the frosty elements. I hope everyone had a good day, thanks to everyone for coming down and See you all at Houghton for the Start of the 2011 TGA Tour Season.
