TGA Mount Oswald Championship 2011 - Results

A bright and breezy day at Mount Oswald saw a wide variety of scores, with some players being able to withstand the elements to shoot good scores, whilst others found it a struggle. Ultimately there was no one able to come close to our eventual champion, David Summers, who started the round with a birdie and carded 5 consecutive pars for a 9 under total. The long time TGA regular gets his first win on the TGA Tour. Joe Addison got the long drive prize on his way to a share of 2nd place, along with last years champion Jane Baillie, and Tour Championship leader Paul Willey maintained his consistent form finishing in 4th. Chris Green and Tony Wood took the 2 nearest to the pin's, whilst Rob Snowdon won the 100 club prize, and Jane Baillie and Dave Smith shared the prize for the low handicap / lowest gross.

Special mention to Tony Smith and Tony Wood who claimed the 2nd spot in the matchplay final. Good luck to both teams in the Final, and also Chris Green, who carded an eagle on the very tough par 5 14th hole.

Thanks to everyone for coming down, the largest TGA turnout to date. Thanks to Mount Oswald for their hospitality, and Jane Baillie for defending her championship. See you at Hunley Hall soon.
