Once again I have to start by thanking the great group of golfers that are the TGA. This last weekend at Mount Oswald saw our 40th member taking part in the 2011 season. Already surpassing the number of 39 for 2010, and at a solid average of 21 players per game.
2 new games have just been confirmed for the 2nd half of the season. The first of which will be our Masters Championship at Elemore. A strange choice you might think considering some of the more fancy courses we visit, but there is a reason behind this. The date will be the 2nd anniversary of the TGA and our first ever event which was at Elemore, so I thought it fitting that we should return there to play this event. The Game is open to all. Masters qualifiers will play the Major and non qualifiers will take part in a seperate event for the "Dale Fenwick Cup". Signup for the event is available now here .
Also confirmed is our annual visit to Knotty Hill. which will be Sept 3rd, signup here.
The trip to Hunley Hall next week is looking busy. It's currently full so if anyone is unable to attend please let me know as there may be someone who would like the place. I will be contacting the club in advance to try to find out which course we will be playing and information will be posted as soon as I know.
The pairs matchplay is now down to the final with Tony Wood and Tony Smith winning their way through to play Chris & Dave Brown. Good Luck to both pairs in the final.
The singles matchplay draw will take place at Hunley Hall next week so we can get that underway in June which will allow plenty of time for it to be completed in the rest of the season.
I look forward to seeing everyone at Hunley next week, and keep your fingers crossed for good weather.
